One of the treatment modalities Carmel uses is EMDR Therapy. EMDR Therapy is an accelerated treatment and is endorsed as the Gold Standard for the treatment of trauma by the United Nations World Health Organisation (WHO).  Carmel provides a safe environment supporting the client through a process of desensitisation from these symptoms and reprocessing their internal experiences of the trauma. Clients gain new insights into themselves, others and the world. EMDR Therapy is endorsed by the Australian Psychological Society.  It is also effective for anxiety, stress, panic attacks, depression, phobias, addictions and dissociation.

Carmel Privitera has worked closely with children and adults who have experienced traumatic events (Trauma and PTSD).
